Club Rules/Conduct
Being part of the Papakura Sea Eagles Rugby League Club is a priviledge. Whether you are involved in a team or not we must always try to promote ourselves in a positive manner both for the club and rugby league itself. Our club is run by volunteer support only so we ask that you are mindful of this and any offers of assistance are always greatly appreciated. To enable our club to operate to its full potential we expect the rules and code of conduct to be adhered to.
PLAYERS, COACHES & PARENTS
- Unreasonable demands made on youngsters rarely bear fruit.
- Teach respect for rules and authority, by word and example.
- Support every efford to rid sport of verbal and physical abuse.
- Show respect for all and commitment to their well being.
- Be positive - avoid harsh criticism or ridicule.
- Injured players should not be allowed to compete - for their own sakes.
- A good player is a self-disciplined player.
- Co-operate with coach, leader, instruction, team mates, officials and opponents.
- Winning shouldn’t be the main reason you play, but one of the results of your playing.
- Players are allocated into teams based on year of birth and weight as per ARL rulings.
- Respect and care for the enviroment, equipment and facilities.
CLUBROOMS AND BAR
- Prizegiving will commence at 6.00pm home games and 7.00pm away games.
- All team members are required to attend prizegiving.
- Team members issued with club blazers are required to wear them to prizegiving.
- A reasonable standard of dress is required at home and away. No hoodies or playing strip to be worn in the club after 4.00pm.
- A reasonable standard of behaviour is required at home or away.
- NO alcohol is to be consumed in carparks at home or away.
- NO drugs to be consumed or dealt in/near/or in the proximity of any clubrooms. It is a criminal offence and will result in termination of membership and banning from the club.
- Children are to be removed from the clubrooms by 7.30pm.
- Parents/caregivers - children in your care are your responsibility CARE FOR THEM AT ALL TIMES.
